What the SSVP does

Summary

The Society of St Vincent de Paul, or  SSVP, has 2,300 members working in 340 local branches in eight Scottish regions visiting and befriending those in need, at home, in residential care, in prison or in hospital.

People we help

SSVP offers non-professional help to people with a wide range of needs including loneliness, bereavement, depression, physical illness and learning difficulties. We offer friendship and support to homeless people, addicts and prostitutes. We recognise and address the needs of carers.
