SSVP members gather at St Mirin’s Cathedral, Paisley for Annual Retreat

( Members from the Conference at Holy Name, Oakley)

In Scotland Vincentians in Partnership (VIP) are represented by The Ladies of Charity (AIC); The Daughters of Charity (DC); The Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SSVP); Daughters of St Vincent de Paul Services.  It was therefore fitting that Fr Kevin O’Shea CM (Congregation of the Mission founded by St Vincent de Paul) lead the day’s retreat.

Fr Kevin spoke of the Vincentian charism, the “little mustard seed” sown in 1617, which developed and grew in to a great tree.  The charism has been created and adapted to reflect the needs of every era.
