150th Thanksgiving Mass for St Margaret’s Ayr

On Wednesday 31st October 2018 St Margaret’s, Ayr celebrated it’s 150th Anniversary as a SSVP conference.

St Margaret’s Conference was founded on Sunday 1st November 1868 and boasted twelve active members and three honorary members. Despite being formed late in the year, the annual returns show a total income of ten pounds, six shillings and two pence, largely contributed to by the proceeds of a sermon, in the church, by the Right Rev. Dr. Lynch.

Sr Marie DC, a Daughter of Charity and member of St Margaret’s Conference said after the event “It was a wonderful evening and helped bring the SSVP to the forefront of the Parish. It was so good to see so many from other SSVP Conferences & the local Community” .

Congratulations!!
