New Youth Badges have Landed!

Our Youth Co-ordinator Pauline is celebrating the arrival of the new look Youth badges, sporting their updated logos.   She said:

” After redesigning our groupings during lockdown it’s wonderful to see these badges which will be proudly worn on ties, blazers or schoolbags of our Vinnies. The young people will hopefully feel a real sense of progression from Mini Vinnies P4-P7, on to Junior Vinnies in S1-S3 before becoming a Senior Vinnie S4-S6. They are all valued members of our Vincentian family and the logo reflects a closeness to our SSVP Scotland logo with the added elements of identifying colour”.

Pauline is also developing  ideas for helping Conferences and local Vinnie groups to work more closely in the coming academic year and would love to hear ideas or suggestions for how this can happen. She said:

“If the pupils know the Conference members by name they can learn from their stories, discover what their favourite food is, tell each other jokes and most importantly say hello at Mass. Conversely the members can get to know the young people and spend time learning about their hopes and dreams and what they enjoy.

Our members can be such good role models for our Vinnies. If the children know them as individuals they will be more likely to remain engaged with the Vinnies journey and crucially remain as full members in adulthood.”
