Food Justice in the Spotlight as New Bill is Prepared

The August edition of the Interfaith Food Justice Network (IFJN) Newsletter is now out. It highlights the new Food Justice bill which is being brought before the Scottish Parliament with the hope of creating equality in terms of access to food in Scotland. The bill seeks to ensure that everyone has the right to wholesome nutritious food. It is hoped it goes some way towards making fresh fruit and vegetables affordable to all.

 We are still in a situation where unhealthy food is cheaper and thus the cycle of poverty continues. Bills such is this to reshape our political system to aid the poor are truly Vincentian in nature.   Click here to read the newsletter
