Over 40 SSVP members from Galloway Diocese North attended a conference on 21 March at St Margarets Cathedral in Ayr.

The conference started with Holy Mass celebrated by Bishop Frank Dougan and cathedral administrator Fr David Borland, assisted by Deacon Bill Corbett. In his Homily, Bishop Frank paid tribute to the work done by SSVP supporting those in need.

Following a buffet lunch, National President Patricia McCartney and National Youth Development Co-ordinator Margo Morris updated members on current and proposed plans, answering questions from members.

A similar event is planned for Galloway South members will take place on 9^th May at St Teresa’s Church, Dumfries.
