Inaugural Catholic Schools’ Festival Brings Together Educators
and Faith Leaders
On 14 June, Glasgow played host to the first-ever Catholic Schools’
Festival, a landmark event organised by the Scottish Catholic Education
Service (SCES). The day brought together clergy, teachers and
education professionals for a rich programme of reflection and renewal
under the theme of hope, inspired by the Pilgrims of Hope for the
upcoming Jubilee Year.
Our National Youth Development Coordinator was in attendance, joining
hundreds from across the country for a day of thought-provoking
lectures and interactive workshops designed to nurture spiritual growth
and strengthen community ties within Catholic education.
The festival concluded with a moving Mass at Glasgow Cathedral,
celebrated by several of Scotland’s Bishops—a fitting close to a day
rooted in faith, connection, and shared purpose.
