A Moment to Forgive and Be Forgiven During Lent

The readings this week remind us of our need for God, especially His forgiveness. When we rely on ourselves, our judgments aren’t always the best.

When we allow God to guide us we discover things work out better.

The invitation in the readings this 3rd week of Lent, is to ask God to give us the gift of forgiveness… “Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us”.

God is all forgiving and He wants us to be the same.
Lent is a good time to let go of any grudges or hurts. They only burden us.
It’s also the time when many children receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time.
Like them, let’s turn to our Father and ask for forgiveness in the Sacrament of Reconciliation, knowing He is waiting to forgive us and carry away our burdens.

Love and prayers,

Sr. Maria Robb
